DRAGON'S ROOK

Dragon's Rook is the first half of The Lost Sword, an epic fantasy duology by Keanan Brand.

The story follows the adventures of an ensemble cast led by four main characters: a soldier destined to become an immortal, a blacksmith destined to be king, a healer whose crippled hand makes people think she's a witch, and a king's daughter trying to escape her father's oppressive rule. These four cross paths as they strive to find their purpose and their freedom.

LAUGHING AT THE MOON

Containing selected pieces written over a span of almost twenty years, Laughing at the Moon is a brief volume of informal poetry gathered under these headings: Troubles, Love, Travels, Whimsy, and Family. Many poems sprang from dark times, but almost all contain a spark of hope and a hint of light.

EDITING SERVICE

Even editors needs editors. (There is at least one typo that was overlooked in Laughing at the Moon -- can you find it? -- and a few that evaded the editor's pen in Dragon's Rook.)

And, as writers who know the dread anticipation of awaiting feedback on their own work, and who have themselves been made wary by unskilled edits, the editors at Penworthy Press endeavor to aid their fellow writers in an honest, clear manner.

Their motto: Story first.
